SYNTHESIZED VOICE · NOT A QUOTE
Technology wants to coordinate with humanity, not to replace it. The most advanced state of technology is not automation — it's mutualism.*
Synthesized for Knowware from Stewart Brand's published work. Not a quote. knowware.systems/method
OVERVIEW
Counterculture visionary who created the Whole Earth Catalog as a coordination infrastructure for decentralized learning. He recognized that technology is not separate from life but a continuation of it, and that coordination should be distributed, not centralized.
WHY THIS VOICE MATTERS TO KNOWWARE
Brand established the philosophical foundation for coordination intelligence: technology as a living system with its own trajectory, and the commitment to mutualism over replacement. He shows that coordination has always been the goal, even before the field had language for it.
